# llms.txt and Markdown

Every page of this site has a machine-readable version, so you can hand the documentation to an
AI assistant, or let it fetch the documentation itself.

## llms.txt

- <a href="/design-system/llms.txt"><code>llms.txt</code></a>: an index of every page, with
its title, description and a link to its Markdown version. Give it to an assistant that can
  follow links.
- <a href="/design-system/llms-full.txt"><code>llms-full.txt</code></a>: the whole site in one
Markdown file. Paste or attach it when the assistant cannot fetch links.

## Markdown pages

Every page has a Markdown twin at the same path with a `.md`
 extension. For example, the Button
page is at
[`[https://wallarm.github.io/design-system/components/button.md](https://wallarm.github.io/design-system/components/button.md)
`](/design-system/components/button.md).
At the top of each page, the copy button copies the page as Markdown, and its menu opens the
Markdown link or starts a ChatGPT or Claude conversation about the page.

## components.json

[`components.json
`](/design-system/components.json) is the metadata the
[MCP server](https://wallarm.github.io/design-system/ai/mcp.md)
serves, as one JSON file: every component with its props, variants,
sub-components and import path, plus the design tokens. It describes the version this site was built from; the copy inside
your installed package, `@wallarm-org/design-system/metadata`
, matches the version you use.
## Check it locally

`llms.txt`, `llms-full.txt`, the `.md` pages and `components.json` exist only in a production
build, not in `rspress dev`. To see them with local URLs, run `pnpm --filter @wallarm-org/website
preview:local`. It builds the site with a local origin (`localhost`, port 4173) into
`doc_build_local`, so the production `doc_build` is untouched, and serves it from there. A plain
`build` keeps the production origin, `https://wallarm.github.io`.
